Dear CTRA Members:
Keep Texas Beautiful (KTB) is excited to kick off its 2010 awards season, and we invite you and the
communities you represent to take part! The 2010 Governor’s Community Achievement Awards (GCAA), a program sponsored by KTB and funded by the Texas Department of Transportation. The GCAA recognizes grassroots community excellence and stewardship in seven different categories. All Texas communities are eligible to apply and the 10 winning cities will share $2 million in landscaping awards. The 2010 KTB Awards, which celebrates the diligence and dedication of individuals, community and governmental programs, and organizations devoted to recycling, waste reduction and/or litter prevention. But don’t think you or your constituents have to navigate this process alone! Whether you’re a first-time applicant unfamiliar with the process or a returning applicant in need of a refresher course, you can register for one of our awards trainings to help you along. KTB will conduct a training webinar on November 19; a second session is scheduled for early January. Please visit our web site to register for the webinar.
Catch the excitement of the 2010 KTB awards season! Visit our web site, www.ktb.org, for more information
about awards and trainings, and make plans to attend our 43rd Annual Conference in June to celebrate the
successes of our affiliate network. Learn more at www.ktb.org
